Trauma Intervention Program
of Long Beach
Compassion in Action
When tragedy strikes, Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of Long Beach volunteers respond alongside first responders to provide emotional first aid and compassionate presence to those affected by sudden loss or crisis.
TIP of Long Beach is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families during the first critical hours following traumatic events. Our highly trained volunteers offer practical support, emotional stabilization, and a calm presence — allowing survivors to begin coping in the midst of chaos.

Our Mission
Our local volunteers provide emotional first aid to survivors of tragedy in order to ease their immediate suffering and facilitate their healing and long term recovery.
Support for Communities
Survivors of tragedy get a higher level of care in Long Beach because TIP is involved. TIP contributes more than 20,000 hours of volunteer time per year to the community. Having TIP on a scene lowers the stress level of emergency workers and helps them focus on the details of their job.
"The volunteer from TIP was so valuable to me and my daughter when my husband passed suddenly. Thank you for providing this to our community."
